Schools, Colleges to Remain Closed in Kashmir Upto Wednesday
As the situation remains tense after the death toll rose to six in the Shopian shootout, government has extended the closure of all the educational institutions up to Wednesday March 07, 2018.
“Schools, Colleges including private ones shall remain closed in view of the prevailing law and order situation in Kashmir valley”, Edu Minister Altaf Bukhari earlier said while talking to www.themandate.net.
The minister said that all the educational institutions will resume their functioning from Thursday March 08, 2018.
After over two months of the winter break in Kashmir valley, the schools upto 8th class were scheduled to reopen today while as higher classes resumed their class work last week. Education department had made elaborate arrangements to welcome the children today.
